Deputy Minister of Tourism Encourages Optimization of Banyuwangi-Bali Tourism Connectivity

The Ministry of Tourism is pushing for the acceleration of tourism connectivity connecting Banyuwangi – West Bali – North Bali (3B). Discussing this, Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa held a meeting with Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani.
“Banyuwangi already has a name and strong promotion so far. With the condition of South Bali which is already over capacity with tourists, there needs to be distribution of tourists to other areas. We hope that these two areas can share with each other to be able to strengthen Banyuwangi-Bali tourism,” said Ni Luh, in a meeting held via zoom meeting.
“The discussion in this meeting has reached the technical level. We want to be more aggressive regarding the implementation of this 3B tourism program,” said Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh.
Ni Luh said that the Ministry of Tourism has designed a tour package connecting Banyuwangi-West Bali-North Bali tourism, and will operate a fast boat on the Banyuwangi – Buleleng Bali route.
“The presence of fast boats can shorten the travel distance so that it is expected to attract more tourists. There are indeed several obstacles related to infrastructure in Bali. So this meeting is to find alternatives and solutions, so that we can run this program,” said the Deputy Minister of Tourism.
Regent Ipuk welcomed the efforts to accelerate the connectivity of 3B tourism. Ipuk thanked for the attention given to Banyuwangi tourism.
“We hope that the 3B tourism package can further advance tourism in each region. It can distribute tourists from Banyuwangi to the North Bali and West Bali regions and vice versa,” said Ipuk.
Ipuk believes that with the 3B Tourism Package, it can be a blessing for tourism and boost Banyuwangi’s economy.
“Banyuwangi is ready, our airport, port, hotels and homestays are adequate, and the agenda in Banyuwangi is also quite a lot. The culinary is also interesting and diverse,” said Ipuk.**
